The Zip Line

I had trouble getting on the Internet towards the end of our week in Cancun, so I didn't get a chance to post these videos of the zip line. The first one is Bartee sliding upside-down and the next one is of some other people in our group on a different part of the course. Wish I had more footage of it, but we didn't have much time in the towers between lines and they prohibited cameras while you were actually sliding. Apparently, the water below the lines is like a camera graveyard from when they used to be permitted.

Enjoy the videos!

Don't let the sound of the wind fool you in this next video... it was so hot that day!

Fishing

Finally a break in the heat wave, so we took full advantage by heading outside tonight after dinner. Aunt Jean has introduced the kids to fishing during this visit, but the first time out we didn't catch anything. So we tried again tonight.

It was another night being outsmarted by the fish in the lake. Once again, the kids were not able to see a fish at the end of their lines... only the nightcrawlers that weren't crawling. The "live" bait that we ended up shopping around for turned out to be DOA when we opened the container, so it's possible that the fish just weren't interested in decaying worms. Also, we learned that the kids really don't have the patience to wait around for a fish to bite. At one point this evening, it looked like Sanjay might have had a bite, but he had no idea how to pull up to catch the fish and reel him in so that little guy got away.

The evening by the lake made for some nice photos and fun memories for the kids with Aunt Jean.
